About histograms (Photoshop)

A histogram illustrates how pixels in an image are distributed by graphing the number of pixels at each color intensity level. The histogram shows whether the image contains enough detail in the shadows (shown in the left part of the histogram), midtones (shown in the middle), and highlights (shown in the right part) to make a good correction.
The histogram also gives a quick picture of the tonal range of the image, or the image key type. A low‑key image has detail concentrated in the shadows; a high‑key image has detail concentrated in the highlights; and an average-key image has detail concentrated in the midtones. An image with full tonal range has a number of pixels in all areas. Identifying the tonal range helps determine appropriate tonal corrections.

How to read a histogram
A.Overexposed photo
B.Properly exposed photo with full tonality
C.Underexposed photo
The Histogram palette offers many options for viewing tonal and color information about an image. By default, the histogram displays the tonal range of the entire image. To display histogram data for a portion of the image, first select that portion.

how to insert page number in indesign ?

1) Open your Pages palette (Windows -> Pages).

2) In the Pages palette, double click a Master Page icon (probably labeled "A-Master"...the icon in the top half of the palette with the fold in the corner).

3) The master page will open in your main window. Drag out a text box where you want your page number to be.

4) Right click (cmd+click on Mac) -> Insert Special Character -> Auto Page Number. An "A" should appear.

5) Now just place that text box wherever you want it, and format that character to your liking.

Note: If you are working with spreads, then you probably want one of those page number boxes on both the left and right pages in the Master Page spread.

6) Double click one of your normal pages. If the icon has the corresponding letter (in this case, "A") on it in the Pages palette, the it should now have page numbers where you placed it.

7) If there is no "A" on the normal page icon in the Pages palette, simply click and drag the Master Page icon on top of the normal page icon until it has a black border around it and release. Or if you want to create a large number of pages with that page numbering already applied, go to Layout -> Pages -> Insert Pages. Make sure your Master Page ("A-Master") is selected in the drop down.

Create Table In Indesign CS3

Create a table from scratch

The table you create fills the width of the text frame.
  1. Using the Type tool , place the insertion point where you want the table to appear.
  2. Choose Table > Insert Table.
  3. Specify the numbers of rows and columns.
  4. If your table contents will continue on more than one column or frame, specify the number of header or footer rows in which you want the information to be repeated.
  5. (Optional) Specify a table style.
  6. Click OK.
The row height of a table is determined by the specified table style. For example, a table style may use cell styles to format different parts of the table. If any of these cell styles include paragraph styles, the leading value of the paragraph styles determines the row height of that area. If no paragraph style is used, the document’s default slug determines the row height. (The slug is based on the leading value. In this context, a slug is the approximate height of the highlighting in selected text.)

Create a table from existing text

Before you convert text to a table, make sure that you set up the text properly.
  1. To prepare the text for conversion, insert tabs, commas, paragraph returns, or another character to separate columns. Insert tabs, commas, paragraph returns, or another character to separate rows. (In many instances, text can be converted to a table without having to be edited.)
  2. Using the Type tool , select the text you want to convert to a table.
  3. Choose Table > Convert Text To Table.
  4. For both Column Separator and Row Separator, indicate where new rows and columns should begin. Choose Tab, Comma, or Paragraph, or type the character, such as a semicolon (;), in the Column Separator and Row Separator field. (Any character you type appears in the menu the next time you create a table from text.)
  5. If you specify the same separator for columns and rows, indicate the number of columns you want the table to include.
  6. (Optional) Specify a table style to format the table.
  7. Click OK.
If any row has fewer items than the number of columns in a table, empty cells fill out the row.

Known issues
  • On Mac, you cannot install to the root directory of the boot drive.
  • When installing on Vista64, an incorrect default installation location appears. The application will be installed in the correct location: C:\Program Files (x86).
  • The "Total Size" displayed in the Installer Options screen includes space required for components required for the installation but NOT shown in the component list; the number may not equal the listed components size.
  • For more detailed information about troubleshooting your installation, go to www.adobe.com/go/support_loganalyzer.
Note: In order to install additional components or reinstall your software after your original installation, you will need access to the original installer (CD, DVD or the download from the web). Repair is not an available option.
